There is a new message on the Hanson Hotline (1-918-446-3979). Taylor is playing the piano for a bit. He says they are busy working on new music, MOE #11 should be out soon, and to look for the new song, "Wake Up" on the The Princess Diaries Soundtrack. It will be released on July 24th, July 31 in Canada, and September 10 in Australia.
The American Society of Young Musicians (ASYM) has autographed Hanson posters for sale. The cost is $10 including postage and handling. There are a few copies left. The money will go towards the ASYM Education Fund. If you would like a poster, mail a check or money order to:

Hanson's "Mmmbop" will be discussed on episode #6 of VH1's "What's My 20?" This episode is titled "What'd U Say?" This show counts down the top 20 groups/artists who've sung hard-to-understand lyrics, as determined by on-line voters. Includes clips on Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me;" Hanson's "MmmBop;" No Doubt's "Spider Web;" Jennifer Lopez' "Love Don't Cost A Thing" and more.

"We've done this writing project in southwest France," says Taylor, the middle Hanson child, "where songwriters pair up and write and record a song everyday for a week." Looking in a new direction for its next album, the trio worked with the likes of Carole King, Miles Zuniga of Fastball, and Ed Robertson of Bare Naked Ladies. They also worked with Matthew Sweet at his home in Los Angeles. "We've got enough material for two, maybe three albums," says Tay, but the boys are taking their time to decide just what'll make the cut for their next LP, due in 2002. Drummer Zac, the youngest, has a potentially prosperous idea: "Let's become teen pop!" he says sarcastically. "We're gonna bomp, bomp, bomp, bomp. Oh, Yeah, baby."

The bros and their pals staked out a table near the hang's mechanical bull, and Isaac and Taylor mounted the steed in a postgame frenzy of bad decisions. Zac, the youngest Hanson for those of you keeping track, was clearly looking for other forms of intoxication, as he watched with amusement and chatted up a fox-ay young femme. Score!

Hanson were seen at the R&R Convention on Friday, June 15. The event included performances by the Doobie Brothers, Stevie Nicks, and a speech by former President Bill Clinton.
Hanson was spotted at Wango Tango on Sunday, June 17.
Hanson has updated the section "From Us To You" to say that they done with MOE 11.
In the Danish mag, there is a picture and it reads - TAYLOR HANSON: It's been quite a while since we've heard from the three brothers. Maybe it's because leadsinger Taylor is busy with his bad habit? 'Cause you see, he likes to fiddle with everything. "It's a very bad habit. No matter what I do, I always have to have something in my hands, which I can play with. It's a weird habit, but I've had it ever since I was very little" says Taylor. (Thanks AFF)

He said he hoped everyone enjoyed the new songs they played. Right now they are still working on new songs and hopefully the new album will be out early next year or a little bit sooner. He said they would try to go on tour before that. Also, MOE #11 is almost done. They will be finishing up the articles and sending it out soon. And he ended the message with "That's all for now"

Hanson sang 7 songs at Riverfest on June 9th. Two of the songs were new. One was titled, "Wake Up" and the other song was either "Wastin' Time" or "Out of My Head". Hanson will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie "Frank McKlusky.* They will play themselves in a concert scene in which the movie's main character, Frank McKlusky, is chasing down an alleged insurance fraud culprit at a Hanson show. Hanson Work With Carole King
Sibling trio may bring Glen Ballard into the fold for next album
Those surprised to hear the brothers Hanson had been co-writing with
the likes of Matthew Sweet and ex-New Radical Gregg Alexander, may be
downright shocked to hear they've expanded their collaboration roster to
include legendary tunesmith Carole King. The Hansons -- Isaac, Taylor
and Zac -- have just returned from mega-manager Miles Copeland's annual
"songwriting bootcamp" at Chateau de Marouatte in France where they
penned and demoed two tracks, "Let You Go" and "One More Time" with King.
While at Copeland's chateau, the trio also co-wrote a number, "Never
Love Again," with the Barenaked Ladies' Ed Robertson and Donny Brown of
the Verve Pipe.
"It was scary," Zac says of working with King. "Afterwards, I was
talking to Tay and I was like, 'You know, when I was writing with Carole . .
.' and then I sat down and thought, 'What am I doing? I'm calling
Carole King by her first name!'"
"We started from scratch," Taylor adds. "And did it in a day. [King is]
just a very, very talented person, doing her thing."
The next giant on the Hanson's docket is producer/arranger Glen Ballard
(Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews), whom the boys will be working with
sometime in the coming weeks, sizing him up as a potential producer for
the follow-up to last year's This Time Around. The threesome plan on
taking nearly forty songs -- including those written with King,
Robertson, and others written with Fastball's Miles Zuniga and Semisonic's Dan
Wilson -- into a Los Angeles studio late next month. The trio co-wrote a
potential title track called "Underneath," with Sweet earlier this
year, and have since composed another song with him called "I Almost Care,"
a number Taylor describes as possessing, "a kind of a cynical, almost
sick way of looking at things from the guy's perspective."
Obviously Hanson will have to trim twenty-five or so cuts from the heap
for their album, which raises the possibility of one or more
high-powered collaborations winding up in the vaults. "We'll do it purely based
on what the best songs are," Taylor says. "There are songs, especially
when you're doing collaborations, where you go, 'That is cool but it
sounds nothing like us.'"
The boys have wisely chosen to document their recent run-ins with rock
royalty, self-directing a documentary about the making of their new
album as well as focusing on life as a Hanson in general. Borrowing a
title from one of their new songs, "Your Illusion," the film is being shot
by Taylor, Isaac and Zac on digital video.
"It's a documentary of the album-making process and sort of the whole
gauntlet of things that go on," Taylor says. "From the beginning of an
album to the end. It's like, 'Here's what you think we are, and here's
what we really are.' We wanna take it to Sundance, see if we can get it
into festivals."
Meanwhile Hanson have just wrapped their cameo in the forthcoming
flick, Frank McKlusky, C.I. Shot this week at the Mayan Theater in Los
Angeles, with Hanson stunt doubles at the ready, the trio's big screen debut
finds them playing yet another new number ("Get Up and Go") for a crowd
of extras. The performance is interrupted when actor Enrico Colantoni
(of TV's Just Shoot Me) rushes the stage and hijinx ensue.
Directed by Arlene Sanford (A Very Brady Sequel), the very slapstick
McKlusky features an ensemble cast including Randy Quaid, Dolly Parton,
Dave Sheridan, Chyna, Tracy Morgan and one-time Michael Jackson cohort
Emmanuel Lewis. It's slated for theatrical release later this year. "I
think it's gonna be hilarious." Taylor says of the movie.GREG HELLER

I think you guys know the music group DREAMS. One of the members celebrated her 16th Birthday and HANSON were there! I saw this on MTV news. There was a part when Zac push the Birthday girl's head to her BIRTHDAY CAKE!! And Tay push the Birthday girl into a swimming pool! Sure that girl had a good Birthday!

IMBDs article
On IMBD.com there was an article that said that the director Gus Van Sant wanted to make a film about Hanson!! This is what the article exactly said:
Director Gus Van Sant is begging Hanson to let him follow them around - to make a film about them. The movie maker is keen to make a "Hard Day's Night type film" with the three brothers Isaac, Zac and Taylor after working with them on the video for their single "Weird". Van Sant says, "I became a fan of their's right around the time Good Will Hunting (1997) came out, and I had wanted to make a film, like a Spice Girls movie, with Hanson. It would be really great to have one of these movies that's more a vehicle for a band and be something that's actually really good. It would be like a surprise. The model was always Hard Day's Night, A (1964), and I did pitch it to Hanson, but they were really busy and in the end we ended up doing a video. It's still possible."
